MaréMotrice is a non-profit association. It allows artists, athletes and sailors to get off the beaten track. The Arctic is our favourite terrain. We seek for an ethic and an aesthetics in the act of travelling. Our Values: ecology, humility, sharing.
Ecology
Our boat has an electric engine. This isn’t a hybrid system (with requires a diesel generator to charge the batteries), but a concept involving both engin and sailing – the boat produces it’s own energy, green energy.
Humility:
Wind, ice conditions and other factors decide et d’autres facteurs naturels determine the course of our trips. At a time when man wants to control everything, travelling on a relatively small sailboat in the Arctic sets the record straight.
Sharing
By inviting artists and athletes who share their experience and work with the public, our projects shine, raise awareness and inspire many people to dream. Through our publications, we anchor this sharing work in the long term.
